When a system is worn out, replacing it is a big decision, so we keep it simple. We look at your home or building, measure the space, check the existing ductwork and talk with you about how the old system worked. On install day we remove the old equipment, set the new indoor and outdoor units, run or replace the line set as needed, make electrical and drain connections, pull a vacuum, charge the system to the manufacturer's specification and test it in both heating and cooling. We clean up after ourselves and walk you through the thermostat before we leave.
Ductless mini split installation
Mini splits are a great fit for additions, garages, shops, bonus rooms, older homes without ductwork and rooms that never stay comfortable. A mini split uses a small outdoor unit connected to one or more wall, ceiling or floor heads. Each head has its own control, so you only heat or cool the rooms you use.
We install single-zone and multi-zone mini split systems. We help you choose where the heads go so the air reaches where you sit and sleep, keep line sets neat, and mount the outdoor unit on a pad or wall bracket that keeps it out of standing water.
Why system sizing matters
An oversized system turns on and off too often, never removes humidity and wears out early. An undersized system runs all the time and still cannot keep up on the hottest and coldest days. We size equipment based on square footage, insulation, windows, ceiling height and how the space is used. That is how you end up with a system that is quiet, even and efficient.

- Most residential replacements are finished in one day. Mini splits and new construction depend on the number of zones and the layout.
- Should I repair or replace my system?
- If your system is over 12 to 15 years old, uses R-22 refrigerant, or needs a major repair like a compressor, replacement is often the better value. We give you both numbers so you can decide.
- Can a mini split heat my home in winter?
- Yes. Modern mini splits are heat pumps and heat well in East Tennessee winters. Many models keep working well below freezing.
